Cloud speech recognition and AI text enhancement run on real infrastructure that costs money. This policy keeps VoxType Desktop fast and reliable for everyone, so a small number of extreme users can't degrade the experience for the rest.

For Pro users, "unlimited" means you'll never hit a wall during normal daily use:

• Dictating all day for emails, docs, code, and chat? No problem.
• Running every AI enhancement mode on everything you write? Go ahead.
• Working entirely offline with on-device models? Completely unlimited.

In practice: even a heavy professional who dictates for hours every workday stays comfortably within normal use.

We only take action against genuine abuse:

• Automated processing: Using scripts or bots to pump text through the service at machine scale
• Reselling: Offering VoxType as a transcription or AI API to others
• Account sharing: Running many people on a single account
• Intentional overload: Attempting to stress or disrupt our systems

We're reasonable: if you're a person using VoxType Desktop to dictate your own work, you're fine.

• Hotkey response: 5–10ms to start dictating
• Cloud transcription: Near real-time as you speak
• On-device mode: Speed depends on your CPU/GPU; GPU acceleration is fastest

During rare peak times, cloud requests may take slightly longer. On-device mode is never affected by our servers.
