About VoxType Desktop
VoxType Desktop is the dictation intelligence feature included with VoxType Pro+. This privacy policy explains how we handle your voice recordings, transcriptions, and related data. TL;DR: Your audio is processed and immediately deleted. We never store, listen to, or share your recordings.

Audio Deletion Policy
This is the most important part:
- Audio is NEVER stored – Your recording is uploaded, processed by AI, and immediately deleted
- Processing takes seconds to minutes – After transcription completes, audio is gone forever
- We cannot recover deleted audio – Even if you ask, we can't retrieve it
- No human ever listens – Only AI models process your audio
Only the transcript and summary are retained in your account. You can delete these at any time.

- Transcript text – The text output of your dictation transcription
- AI-generated summary – Summary, action items, key decisions
- Meeting metadata – Title, date, duration, language
- Account data – Email, subscription status, usage counts

- TLS encryption – All uploads use encrypted connections
- Secure processing – AI processing happens in isolated, secure environments
- No third-party sharing – We never share your data with advertisers or data brokers
- SOC 2 compliant infrastructure – Hosted on enterprise-grade cloud services

AI Processing
VoxType Desktop uses the following AI services:
- Transcription – Whisper (via DeepInfra, Groq, or AssemblyAI)
- Summarization – GPT-4 or Claude for generating summaries
Important: Your dictation content is NOT used to train any AI models. We use enterprise API agreements that explicitly prohibit training on user data.

Data Retention & Deletion
- Audio files – Deleted immediately after processing
- Transcripts & summaries – Retained for 12 months, deletable anytime
- Account deletion – Request via support@voxtypekey.com, completed within 24 hours
